| In the first generation, it was known as Ipsum in Japan and Picnic and Sports Van in export markets. It was built from 1995?2001. Its export versions came in 1996. It had some choices between engines. There were twoinline four-cylinder petrol engines with DOHC and 16 valves, ranging from 1.8 to 2.0 liters, as well as a 2.2 liter diesel engine. | ||||

| SECOND GENERATION | ||||
| The second generation Toyota Ipsum was introduced in 2001, based on the Toyota Avensis platform. It was lunched in Japan and in Europe, where it is now called Avensis Verso. The car is also known as the Toyota Picnic in some markets, including Singapore. It has features with an enlarged wheelbase and inner room for seven seats. Besides the 2.0 and 2.4 liter petrol engines, it also featured a 2.0 liter 116 PS (85 kW) D-4D turbodiesel engine. | ||||
